Lab 02
I think this photo is really cool because of the way that it has kind of like an aura around it. The flash was set to rear slow and gave it this soft, diffused look. I like this because the flash really brightens the face on an already bright background. It makes the subject stand out from the background and adds dimension. This image looks really cool because of the way that the subject is blended. I put this on slow flash and the subject ran across the room. I love the blurry effect I got from it.
Research
Research Looking at previous adverts and jewellery photographs taken for Pandora, they have a particular approach. It's generally soft and vibrant. It also often evokes an emotion or tells a story. They also have detail shots that are purely to show off the jewellery. (stellarmagazine.com) (pandora.net) (pandora.net) Pandora often also have soft coloured backgrounds. I'd be interested to possibly edit on in after the photo is taken as I don't have anything I could use. Their actual advertisements often tend to have a story or emotion as part of them, as I said above. This is something else I'll have to take in to consideration as I come to the editing part.
