Studio Photography

I think this photo is really cool because of the way that it has kind of like an aura around it. The flash was set to rear slow and gave it this soft, diffused look. I like this because the flash really brightens the face on an already bright background. It makes the subject stand out from the background and adds dimension. This image looks really cool because of the way that the subject is blended. I put this on slow flash and the subject ran across the room. I love the blurry effect I got from it.

I like this image because you can really see the light on the right hand side of the subject's face but it fades as we reach the left of the face. I think it's a really nice effect. We used the silver side to reflect more light on to the subject's face. I like the way that this was taken in the same spot as the image above but using the tool to block light gave it a completely softer look with more shadowing around the face.  I think this image is cool because of the way that you can actually see where the light is coming from and it's lighting up the entire left side and we weren't using any lighting tools to create something so bright. This photo stands out to me because of the contrasting colours. The pop of pink amongst the pale white and dark black is really nice but it also follows the shadow. The light is on the left, as is the white wall. The shadows are darker on the right as is the background.
